Mrs. Sew and Sew

I just finished a quilt top using a material line called Mrs. Sew and Sew.  It features 6 different old time sewing machines in big blocks.  Finding a pattern to put around the edges and not detract from the sewing machines was the most difficult task on the whole top piece.  I decided on a flying geese pattern in dark and light shades so that each block looks like a big pinwheel.  The quilt is 45'' x 73".  I placed the big blocks 3 abreast, with 2 rows.  The panels were 6'' strips on top, bottom, sides and in the middle.  The corner blocks I used a Dresden 6 blade fan with all of the material used in each block.  Working on the back now.
