St. Patrick's Day Center Piece
I attempted a Dresden Petal design. 4 - 8" squares, with 3 petals on each square. I had a lot of trouble getting the circle part of the Petal to be round, so I ended up sewing a basting stitch around the circular part of each Petal and then drawing it up until it was circular. It worked like a charm.....perfect circles!!! I recently bought a Stiletto, and it works great when pulling the circle out to make it fit perfectly. You have to get one!! I bought a 4 in 1 tool. It has a Stiletto on one end, with a cap that works as a turning tool, and on the other end it is a seam ripper, and the lid on that end is a small seam presser!! Greatest invention!!
